Rambles of a Polish Addict Guest Post #2

Hi y'all! I'm Katherine from over at Rambles of a Polish Addict and Leesha asked me recently if I could do a guest post for her while she was away on vacation, and I came up with this fun dream catch nail art for you. Leesha reached out to me recently when my bunny passed away (sad face) and sent me a custom polish in Foofy's honor, which I've included in this mani as well.

For this look I used Sinful Colors Hazard as the base color. And two coats of the polish Leesha sent me on the ring finger for an accent. Just two coats and the glitter was nearly fully overing the base color, it's a total glitter bomb! Packed sooo full with all that glitter and it all looks so pretty on the nail, I love it.

For the rest of the details I did them all with acrylic paints in various colors and a tiny little detail nail art brush. It took me a while to think of something when Leesha asked if I'd like to do a guest post, of course I said yes right away, but then thinking of what to do.. that was harder. But then I thought of something I've been wanting to do for a while and never could find a reason to. And I also wanted to be sure it would be something different than what's been on my own blog lately, and since I've never done dream catchers and have been wanting to, it was perfect!

So I hope you all enjoy themeven if they were more bright and summery than necessary for these winter months.

ColorMeSoCrazy Guest Post #1

Well here I am again. In Pennsylvania while lucky Leesha gets to go from cold Minnesota to nice, beautiful, warm Mexico. Lucky duck!! So, for my annual "I'm insanely jealous of Leesha and all I can do is whine about it" post I have decided to celebrate Mexico. I have a Mexican themed color homage as well as two inspired by Mexican art designs on my own blog ColorMeSoCrazy. Be sure to check it out.

I am so excited to do this and be able to post again for Leesha. She has been a great blogger friend and an excellent polish maker!! I wish her great fun and warm weather while she is in Mexico!

For this design, I used red, green and white- the colors of Mexico. I used stamping designs that remind me of the art and designs of Mexico. I have always enjoyed the skills of artists that create sugar skulls especially those that do them on nails! Such a small canvas. Well, I couldn't do that! haha. I just did the patterns that I gathered in painting of sugar skulls and applied them to my design.

So, here's to Leesha have a fantastic time in Mexico and me sitting here in Pennsylvania wishing I was on the beach!!

Colors Used:
NYC- High Line Green
Sinful Colors- Ruby Ruby
Sinful Colors- Snow Me White
Wet n' Wild- Ebony Hates Chris

My Christmas Red - Zoya Blaze

Hey everyone! A special Happy Holiday's and Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it today!
I made certain that I didn't have too much of an intricate nail art design because I'm off on vacation tomorrow and would hate to have Christmas nails the entire time I'm away, or worse, have to take them all off so soon!
So I made do with a pretty Holo red named Zoya Blaze

Isn't this scattered holo gorgeous? I loved that they added a little pizzazz to a brilliant bright red, making this polish a Christmas plus. I believe I also have time to do a quick switcheroo tonight before I leave on vacation, so as to have more vacation-esque nails.

Don't worry, I'm leaving you all in loving hands, I can't wait for you all to see the fantastic guest posts that are coming up while I'm gone!

See you all next year!

Creations By Lynda - Black Friday Haul

Now I know Black Friday was a while ago. But I felt that in order to give my honest opinion on these lovelies I got from Lynda over at Creations by Lynda I had to thoroughly test them out. I bought all of these beauties with my own money and of course the following opinion is my own.
Here are the beauties that I got :

I've been needing a good cuticle oil with this harsh winter weather and all I had was some Sally's stuff that I bought a long time ago so I felt that I had to properly treat myself with some nice cuticle oil!
Now, I've heard many lovely things about Lynda's cuticle oil and had to try some when she had a deal going on for Black Friday. One of the deals included the lovely polish above.

First, let's start with the cuticle oil. I LOVE cucumber so Cucumber Melon was the first one I tried. The scent is absolutely delightful, not to overpowering but still leaves a cucumber-melon-y smell for a bit after you put it on. Compared to my Sally's stuff, this soaked in very fast and made my cuticles go from YUCK to PICTURE PERFECT in only one use! This is obviously my first indie cuticle oil but I will absolutely be going back when I run out of these two. I smelled the Green Tea and Lemongrass cuticle oil, but have yet to use it as I'm saving it as my back up.
Over all, the cuticle oil was an A+ in my book!

Now for the Polish!

2 Coats of Winter has Come over 2 Coats of Revlon-Charming

This glitter topper was absolutely gorgeous (p.s, my cuticles look lovely in this pictures thanks to only 2 days of cuticle oil use!)
My only complaint that I had was when I first opened the bottle, is that there was a bunch of glitter that was gooped up toward the opening of the bottle. I just took a napkin and tried my best to swipe up as much goopy glitter as I could and all was well again. The polish formula itself was easy to work with and reached this opacity in 2 coats. The white glitter mixed with the irredescent glitter make this look like a winter wonder land and despite the goopy top problem, this polish was gorgeous!

I'm so happy I purchased this and would definitely recommend Lynda for her cuticle oil and unique blend of polishes!

Sharpie Triangles!

Hey lovely ladies and perhaps even a few fabulous men..

I decided to revisit my sharpie nails I did a long, long time ago! This time it's a completely different design, but I love playing with sharpie and nail art!

I loved how easy this was to make. It literally took seconds to just draw the little triangles and the results look great!
I made sure it dried for about 2 - 3 minutes then added top coat and I was good to go!
Ohh yeah, and I should mention that 1 week from tomorrow I will be away on vacation. But have no fear! I have some lovely ladies confirmed to guest post for me! I get so giddy when I get guest posts!

Have a Happy Humpday!

Square Hue - Times Square Swatch

*Since this review is so positive, I feel its relevant to mention that I purchased this polish with my own money and all views and opinions are my own.
Hello everybun and Happy Monday!
I just finished this semester and I'm pretty certain that I've gotten Straight A's! Woop, woop! In a celebratory fashion, I decided to glam up my nails with Square Hue's - Time Square!

This was my first Square Hue box and I absolutely LOVED IT! There was a free box deal on black friday and I jumped at the chance to try some of what Square Hue has to offer. The shipping was super quick and the polish that you see above became fully opaque in 2 coats! I'm in love! You can find more information about Square Hue here.

Oh yeah, and P.S I have a new christmas section in my etsy shop  that has a few new one of a kind christmas polishes, check it out for some christmas cheer!

Hopping on the Christmas Nail Art Train - CHOO CHOO!

Hello everybun!
I've decided to hop onto the Christmas bandwagon (choo choo!) by providing some holiday light nail art!

I used migi nail art pens for all of the details and such. These were fairly simple to make BUT , if you haven't already noticed, I forgot the part the bulb connects to! So they kind of look more like leaves than bulbs, but whatever! They're futuristic bulbs that no longer need connective things! Yeah, that's it.. >_>

Happy Holidays everyone!

Color Blocking

Look who's back! Its me!
I had finals all of last week and I still have a few left to go this week. I couldn't even think about doing any nail art with all of my studying going on, but now things are winding down and I'm back into the swing of things.
I have some color blocking nail art that was completely unplanned and sort of made up as I went along , but it came out cute in the end, so all is well that ends well, right?

I have a ton of nail art plans in my mind and Ill be pouring them out to make up for lost time!
See you all soon!

Zoya Pixie Dust - Tomoko Swatch

Hey all! I have an older swatch that has been sitting around in my unposted folder for quite some time now.
I feel like it's very much relevant as it's coming up on the holidays and Tomoko is a beautiful gold to showcase for them!

I absolutely love the Pixie Dust collection and this one was no different for me, it was love all the way!

I hope you all have a lovely Tuesday. I ordered wayyy to many nail polishes and nail polish making accessories so I'll be sitting by the stairs, adamantly waiting for the mail man to come!

Thanksgiving Gradient

First of all, I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving if you're celebrating it and if you're not, have a Super Okay Thursday !
I did some pretty cool turkey nail art last year, but this year I got lazy and decided to just do a gradient because it's easiest. So here it is! It doesn't even bare a slight resemblance to anything thanksgiving related (unless you count cooking over a fire?), but it's all my lazy butt churned out!

In real life, the gradient looks much more smoothly transitioned, but here you can't even see the light orange that leads from the yellow to the darker orange.
Hopefully you all have a much prettier and more successful Thanksgiving mani and most of all, I hope you all pig out for me!

I will sadly be going to the early Black Friday sales that begin at 6, so imma have to stuff myself early.
Have a lovely Thanksgiving, ya'll!

KKCenterhk Review - Rabbit Water Decals

*This product was sent to me for review

Hello everybun! I have a lovely product to review from KKCenterhk, once again! Today I have for you the item by the name of N.NAIL Forest Rabbit Bunny Deer Bambi Squirrel Hamster Apple . The title, however deceivingly long it is, is actually just super cute images of a bunch of rabbits, some deer, some squirrels and apples as well as mushrooms and coconuts? I think they're coconuts. But anyways, the images are all super cute.!
Here is what it looks like

This was my first time using water decals. I looked up a tutorial on YouTube. But for those of you who don't know, basically it goes down like this.
1) Cut out the image you want
2) Take the plastic off of the top (just like a temporary tattoo!)
3) Submerge the image you cut out fully in a container of water (I used a mini cup) for about 20 seconds
4) Take the image out of the water and use your thumb to slide it off
5) Press the image down onto your nail and well-ah!

I crinkled a few of these images and was happy to see that they smoothed out as long as I fixed them quickly
This is without top coat, as I wanted to see how long they would last. (I was also afraid that seche might ruin it, turns out it doesn't!) And they lasted a few hours of me cleaning, taking a bath and doing dishes, with minimal scratches.
These are $2.56 plus shipping. I LOVED these as my first experience with water decals!

Broken heart :(

Well, I don't have a broken heart, but my nails sure do. This mani is dedicated righty, pointer finger. Rest in pieces, wherever you are righty! This broken heart's for you!

I used a Migi nail art pen for the hearts
and
Zoya - Claudine as the base
I guess it's more of a broken, mosaic heart, but what evs. I also didn't want to COMPLETELY bring the mood down with my broken nail, so I added hearts on the other nails!

I suppose all is well, since I use acrylic, all I had to do was add an extension and re-sculpt, something most of you ladies unfortunately do not have the pleasure of doing when you get a break!

OO OO OO! Also, after I discovered my broken nail, I got this AWESOME review from Gnarly Gnails (all happiness was instantly restored!)
Check out her swatch of Song of the Seas ..

Be sure to check out the rest of her review here as well as an awesome coupon code just for her readers!
(I'm literally squeeing to see my polish on her nails! SQUEE!)

See you all soon. (I have a black friday deal up my sleeve that I think you all will love!)

Fall Stripes

Hey everyone!
I have some cute Fall nail art for you today! I used the KKCenterhk striping brush for these which you can find my review here.

I used Julep - Chloe as the base
The lighter gold is Wet n Wild - The Bronze Age
and the darker color is Wet n Wild - Rustic

This very much reminded me of zebra stripes, but I'm not sure if it's "stripey" enough to qualify!

See you all Monday with a beautiful sparkly polish that I'm sure you all will love!
